About Mentor Connect
The Claremont McKenna College Mentor Connect program is a collaborative effort organized by the
Office of Alumni and Parent Relations, Career Services, and the Student Alumni Relations Council.
Our goal for Mentor Connect is to create and foster professional mentor/mentee relationships between
the school’s accomplished alumni and current students. The purpose of these relationships is to provide
valuable support and assistance to mentees as they explore continued graduate education and
potential career paths, open doors to industry networking opportunities, provide a glimpse into the
day-to-day life in various organizations, and reinforce the leadership lessons instilled by the college.

How does it work?

Based on experience and areas of interest, students will be matched with alumni and CMC faculty and
staff mentors. Formal mentoring relationships facilitated through the Mentor Connect program are
intend to last from January to August of the present academic year. Using our Mentor Connect software,
students will select the mentor that best matches their current and future professional goals and
work with them to explore various career options throughout the year.
