Saturday, August 20: Residence Halls open for new student Move In Day at 9:00 a.m.
Sunday, August 21: New Student Orientation and Parents Orientation continue throughout the day.
Monday, August 22: New students depart for WOA trips.
Thursday, August 25: New students return from WOA trips to continue on-campus Orientation.
Tuesday, August 30: Fall semester classes begin.
Saturday, December 17: Residence Halls close at noon.

Parents Orientation will operate concurrently with New Student Orientation on Saturday and Sunday, August 20-21, 2016. You can find many answers just for parents in our Frequently Asked Questions.
Information for International Students
New International Student Orientation (August 18-19, 2016) takes place prior to the Claremont McKenna College orientation. CMC strongly encourages new international students to participate in the program. International Parents Reception and Dinner - Friday, August 19
Please join President Hiram E. Chodosh and Ms. Priya Junnar for dinner, where you will have the opportunity to meet other international parents and learn more about Claremont McKenna College’s academic programming.
WOA stands for Welcome Orientation Adventure. WOA Trips are destination experiences designed to help students make connections and learn life skills before entering college at CMC. The many trip offerings allow students a variety of opportunities and activities, from surfing to camping to community service and urban engagement.

Fall sport athletes who are invited to participate in pre-season activities will arrive early. Check with individual coaches for exact dates before making plans. Although there frequently are opportunities for parents to meet each other during the drop-off time, the official orientation program is held on Saturday, August 20 and Sunday, August 21.

Students should not make personal appointments away from the campus during the Orientation period, which will extend through Monday, August 29. Classes begin Tuesday, August 30, 2016. If arrival must be delayed, students should make arrangements in advance with the Dean of Students Office at (909) 621-8114.
