The Role of Women in Foreign and Defense Policies

Alumni and parents in the DC Metro area are invited to a panel discussion on "The Role of Women in Foreign and Defense Policies” moderated by Dr. Chantal de Jonge Oudraat, President of Women In International Security (WIIS). Discussion will focus on the role of women in foreign and defense policies in various countries and regions, including China, the United States, and Russia. How well has the gender perspective been included in foreign and defense policies? How does the gender balance/imbalance impact policy outcomes? How do gender movements, such as #MeToo, impact these regions? 

The full panel includes Air Force Deputy Assistant Secretary, Jennifer L. Miller '97.

This event is organized by the Claremont McKenna College Washington Program, WIIS, and the CMC Office of Alumni and Parent Engagement. It is hosted by K & L Gate.
