The Ath is welcoming a stellar slate of speakers that boasts a Nobel laureate and multiple Pulitzer Prize winners. The programming also features the 75^th Anniversary Distinguished Speaker Series, focused on themes, “Civilization and Commerce,” “Unity and Division,” and “Science and Policy.”

Enthusiastic family members joined their CMC students on campus after a two-year hiatus on Feb. 19–20. The weekend was packed with vibrant activities and events, including a town hall address and Q&A with President Chodosh, a peek into our new integrated sciences program, and delicious meals together… all outdoors!

Biology major Courtney Hooks ’23 credits CMC with pushing her out of her comfort zone. Now head consultant with CMC’s CWPD, Hooks holds an Appel Fellowship and is a research fellow at the Keck Graduate Institute. “I’m getting a great deal of leadership experience,” she said.

Prof. Dan Krauss was recently named president of the American Board of Forensic Psychology. He heads the entire forensic board certification process and serves as the forensic board representative to the other 14 clinical psychology boards overseen by the American Board of Professional Psychology.

Prof. Wendy Lower further explores Holocaust history in her recent award-winning book, “The Ravine.” After discovering a photograph depicting a mass shooting of Ukrainian Jews, Lower deployed various methods to trace the victims’ stories, locate the killers, and reveal an unlikely hero—the photographer himself.

Kevin Lynch ’17 and Miriam Cruz ’15 topped the Forbes 30 Under 30 List of promising young entrepreneurs, chosen by editors, reporters, and expert judges from tens of thousands of nominations. Both said the problem-solving and perspective-taking skills they learned at CMC prepared them for success.
