CMC Model UN Ranks Fourth in Nation

The CMC Model United Nations team has scored another historic success, ranking fourth in the nation, and earning its highest national ranking ever. In addition, team members topped their West Coast competitors by taking the No. 1 slot—becoming “Best in the West.”

Despite facing pandemic challenges, “The MUN leadership and team members showed remarkable resiliency and dedication…refreshing and building up everyone’s skills, and creating a strong team dynamic,” said CMC Prof. Jennifer Taw, the team’s faculty advisor.

Frank Applebaum ’24 became the first CMS swimmer to win a national championship in six years, when he captured first place in the 200-yard butterfly in a new Division III record time of 1:44.01 at the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in Indianapolis.
