CMC’s Trophy-Winning Rose Parade Journey

CMC’s Trophy-Winning Rose Parade® Journey

Claremont McKenna College celebrated the new year—and capped off its 75th Anniversary—with an award-winning float in the 2023 Rose Parade! Showcasing floral versions of campus buildings and public art against the backdrop of a replica of snow-capped Mt. Baldy, CMC’s float won the prestigious Golden State award for “Most Outstanding Depiction of Life in California.” Entirely funded by donations, CMC’s first float in the Rose Parade also raised support for student scholarships. Please visit our photo gallery and watch our Rose Parade video that showcases the 90,000 flowers, including gladiolas, birds of paradise, and bicolor roses.
