The CMS women’s tennis team won its second straight national title recently at the USTA National Campus in Orlando. CMS closed out the season with a 27-1 record and a 23-match winning streak, avenging its only defeat of the season.

Seven faculty members have joined the new Kravis Department of Integrated Sciences (KDIS). “We are very fortunate to have recruited a group of extraordinarily talented and energetic scientists,” said KDIS Founding Chair, Prof. Ran Libeskind-Hadas.

CMC recently hosted two celebrations to honor the College’s impressive faculty. Faculty were lauded for milestone anniversaries, and honored for their teaching, scholarship, and service. In a separate ceremony, four retiring faculty were recognized for their contributions to the community.

The Mgrublian Center for Human Rights commemorated its 20-year anniversary by honoring the Center’s founding history, mission, and achievements during an evening event at the Athenaeum that coincided with the national Days of Remembrance.

Students in the Gould Humanities Lab program unveiled thought-provoking, interdisciplinary projects, sharing personal stories tied to the themes they explored this academic year on a global level.

More than 270 students, alumni, colleagues, friends, and family, packed into the Athenaeum recently to celebrate Prof. Marc Massoud P’89, who after 43 years at CMC, is retiring.

David Marash ’12, who launched a biotechnology startup, won the Technology in Space prize and the opportunity to conduct further research on the International Space Station.

As they snorkeled through sparkling blue lagoons throughout French Polynesia, Kate Roney ’24 and her student-shipmates learned about the complex environmental challenges facing Pacific Islanders and sustainable solutions for island cultures and ocean ecosystems.
