Author Niall Ferguson (Colossus: The Price of America's Empire) will visit the Marian Miner Cook Athenaeum on Thursday, Oct. 21. His lecture, Are Capitalism and Democracy Bound to Win? begins at 6:45 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
Ferguson, a professor of history at Harvard University and a senior research fellow at Jesus College, Oxford University, writes and reviews regularly for the American and British press.
