Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Statement
The following statement is recommended by the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Ad Hoc committee for approval by the CMC Alumni Association Communications Committee and the Board of Directors.
The Claremont McKenna College Alumni Association commits to practices, policies, and dialogue that foster an inclusive, welcoming alumni community.
We believe an open-minded, diverse, and equitable organization promotes responsible leadership, strong role models for students, and sustained alumni engagement across a range of identities and experiences. Through the Alumni Association’s programming, communications, and opportunities for the greater CMC community, we work to combat discrimination in all forms while reinforcing an anti-racist and inclusive culture to which all alumni belong.
CMCAA Mission Statement:
The Claremont McKenna College Alumni Association (CMCAA), including its chapters worldwide, was founded as and is an independent non-profit corporation that exists to serve the Claremont McKenna College alumni community, the Claremont McKenna College and to advance the cause of education. The cornerstone of the Association’s efforts is programming that is educational by nature to our alumni members and others and also thereby results in an engaged alumni population capable of providing counseling and financial support to the College.
