"How Long Will the '20s Roar or Do Economic Expansions Die of Old Age?"

Join the Silicon Valley Chapter, Professor Manfred Keil, and Yao Li '20 and learn about the aftermath of the Great Recession (2007-2009) and the economic expansion that followed.

Last June, the U.S. set a new record for economic growth and this expansion has now reached its 128th month. Professor Keil will discuss the pressing question: "When will the expansion end?" and share results from his recent research along with Yao Li '20, a member of the first graduating class with a data science sequence. She is the recipient of the Ardnt Prize, student manager of the Lowe Institute, as well as a CMC student ambassador. Li has been accepted to many prestigious Ph.D. programs including Northwestern's Kellogg Business School.
